Luewton Lemos F. Agostinho

Luewton L F Agostinho is a water technologist graduated by Federal University of Ceará (Civil Engineering) with a PhD in Applied Physics, done in a TU Delft-Wetsus cooperation format in The Netherlands. He has worked as consultant for different water utilities, water companies and water institutes like the Center of Expertise Water Technology (CEW) in Brazil and The Netherlands. Currently, he is the head of the NHL Stenden University Water Technology group and a senior researcher at Wetsus. Dr Agostinho has been also working for many years bridging the Dutch and The Brazilian water technology markets, acting together with companies, institutes and diplomatic offices between the two countries.

Pablo Bereciartua

Pablo Bereciartua is an engineer from the National University of La Plata, Argentina. He currently serves as the Minister of Infrastructure for the City of Buenos Aires and is a Steering Committee Member of the 300 Water Leaders Group. He’s also a member of the global board of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) and serves on the advisory board of Europe’s Climate Innovation Institute (Climate KIC). Pablo has pursued postgraduate studies at IHE Delft in the Netherlands, as well as at Berkeley and Yale universities.

In addition to his role in government, Pablo is a professor at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and was previously the Dean of the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA). His past government roles include serving as Secretary of Infrastructure and Water Policy for Argentina, Undersecretary of Water Resources, and Director of Infrastructure for the City of Buenos Aires.

Pablo has been recognized as a Fulbright, Eisenhower, IIASA, and Yale World Fellow. He has received prestigious awards such as the Antonio Marin Award (2009) and the Enrique Butty Award (2017) from Argentina’s National Academy of Engineering.

Patricio Díaz Romo

Patricio Díaz Romo is the LATAM Lead at Global Water Intelligence (GWI) and the 300 Water Leaders Group. Since 2023, he has been responsible for driving efforts to expand access to water and sanitation services (SDG 6) to 300 million additional people by 2030 across Latin America and the Caribbean. His focus is on promoting strategic partnerships with international development agencies and other key stakeholders. His work focuses on promoting infrastructure investment and facilitating high-level discussions with utility CEOs, government officials, and industry leaders to advance sustainable water solutions.

He holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics, specialising in Economic Policy. Over the years, Patricio has led various initiatives in the region, working on policy analysis and promoting investment in the water sector. His experience also includes collaborating with the World Bank on research into fiscal impacts in Latin America. Before joining GWI, he worked at the Mexican Embassy in the UK and with Mexico’s Ministry of Social Development, where he managed large-scale infrastructure development projects.
