Alberto Sanchez Aquino currently serves as Vice President and a board member of the Empresa de Servicios Sanitarios del Paraguay (ESSAP S.A.). He holds a degree in Economics from UFPR in Curitiba, Brazil, and an MBA in Project Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas. Additionally, he has completed a PM4R Master Professional program at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and holds a Master's degree in Government and Public Management from Universidad Americana. Alberto's professional development includes several specializations, such as Strategic Management from Universidad de Belgrano (2024), Water 2.0: Efficient Companies for the 21st Century from the IDB Academy (2023), and a Diploma in Governance and Public Innovation from Fundação Getulio Vargas (2022). He also has specialized training in Operational Coordination in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Humanitarian Contexts from UNICEF (2020) and Project Management for the Public and Private Sectors in Latin America from INDES/IDB (2020), among others focused on water governance and strategic planning.

Bruno Alexandre Abreu Silva, obtained his Master Degree (M.D.) in Mechanical Engineering, on 2010 and completed his PhD in Energy Systems and Climate Change in 2018 from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. During the time in the university, he specialized in transferring technology from the academia to the market, participating in the development of patents and new companies (startups).Â
On 2017 he co-founded SCUBIC, a company focused on helping water utilities to develop artificial intelligence digital twins (Virtual Operators) for the optimal management of water networks. Over the last years he has implemented several smart water networks projects in Portugal, Spain and Brazil, transforming how water utilities manage their data sources to create value from data, improve operational efficiency and reduce cost and carbon emissions.
Consulting engineer and training tutor at HWater. Founding associate of the Methodos Institute, creating and promoting innovation methods for sustainability and universalization of sanitation. Civil Engineer and Master in Hydraulics and Sanitary Engineering (University of São Paulo). Master in Civil Engineering with an Emphasis on Hydraulics and Water Resources from the University of Lisbon. Participated in projects of Reduction of Non Revenue Water in several brazilian states, some of them supported by the World Bank Group, pre-operations of Wastewater Treatment Plants, and capacity-building projects in partnership with ABES, ASSEMAE, COPASA, COMPESA, etc.
