alberto sanchez aquino

Civil Engineer and Master’s Degree holder from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), specializing in wastewater treatment plant optimization and expansion projects, with a particular focus on the solid phase of treatment. Currently working on the application of the External Sludge Hydrolysis Process in Mesophilic Anaerobic Digesters, aimed at process intensification for optimization and resource recovery. Coordinator of the Cooperation Agreement between Sabesp and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) through the PITE program (University-Industry Cooperative Research) from 2009 to 2022, supporting technological innovation in the field. Editor of the Portuguese version of the book "Biological Wastewater Treatment" by the International Water Association (IWA).



Head of Environmental Technologies Laboratory at the Central Mining Institute - National Research Institute.

 

Expert in environmental protection and environmental biotechnology.. Main areas of interest and research activities concerns waste management in line witch waste to product and circular economy idea. As a researcher, was a leader of scientific projects regards post industrial wastes management and production of safe immobilized waste based granulates, industrial waste stabilization as well as fertilizer from organic wastes and mineral additives. In his work he is mainly focused on technologies development and implementation.

For the last 14 years he is employed in Central Mining Institute of Katowice, GIG Poland, working in Department of Water Protection (DWP). He graduated his Ph.D. in 2014. Doctor Głodniok is a Head of Environmental Technologies Laboratory, author and co-author of several dozen of research works and R&D project, including implementation projects and service works for industrial partners (e.g. wastewater plants operators and municipal enterprises) especially in the field of wastewater, wastewater sludge and waste management and circular economy.

Main author of several solutions for the processing of sewage sludge into fertilizer products (Patent Pl:P.420420 and Patent applications: P.431113, P.419181, P.423664). Doctor Głodniok was involved in realization of a dozen EU founded projects, like: MANAGER, LoCAL, AMIIGA, Gi-Mine etc.



Marcos Pérez, Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, is an experienced data scientist and tech leader with vast experience in machine learning, energy optimization, and data-driven decision-making solutions. He co-founded Ainwater, a startup in Chile, where he serves as CTO, developing AI-driven solutions to optimize energy consumption in wastewater treatment. Previously, he held senior positions at international organizations, where he led teams in creating machine learning models and innovative data visualizations. Marcos holds a Ph.D. from UFRGS, with postdoctoral works in condensed matter physics, complex systems and computational physics.
